SPOTSCOUT User Privacy Notice
Your privacy is important to us at SpotScout, Inc. (“we” or “us”). We are providing this User Privacy Notice (this “Notice”) to inform you of our practices regarding personal information and data that may be collected or retained in the course of providing services to you. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
The provisions of this Notice do not apply to any third parties whose services may be utilized in connection with our services. These third parties may have their own privacy policies, which you may also want to review. We respect your privacy and will not release your personal information to a third party other than to a parking provider as necessary to identify you as the person reserving a space or as mandated by law.
Areas covered by this Notice are as follows:
1. The nature of certain information about you collected or stored by us and the way such information is used.
2. The nature, frequency, and purpose of any disclosure that may be made of such information.
3. Disclosure of information to governmental entities and through legal process.

1. Collection and Use of Personally Identifiable Information and Stored Files
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the SpotScout website by any type of electronic device. In order for us to provide our services to you and operate efficiently, we may collect the following types of information about you that could constitute personally identifiable information: your name, home, e-mail and work addresses, telephone numbers, credit and credit card information, and information on billing, payment. We may also keep records of research concerning user satisfaction with our services, such as information obtained from user interviews, surveys and correspondences. For purposes of this Notice, the term “personally identifiable information” does not include aggregate data that does not identify you and does not include Stored Files (as defined below) and information contained in Stored Files.
The personally identifiable information described in the preceding paragraph is used for purposes such as to make sure you are being billed properly for the services rendered to you by the opposite party, to administer your account in accordance with your agreements with us, to allow us to provide you with information relevant to your use of our services and other services that may be relevant to you, to maintain or improve the quality of our services, to answer questions from users, to ensure compliance with law, and for tax and accounting purposes.
Our system will contain all of the computer files, correspondence, and documents created and retained by you through your use of our services and a record of all of your activity through our services, including the duration of your use of our services, and correspondence (collectively, the “Stored Files”). We will not monitor the contents of a user’s Stored Files except as we believe necessary to comply with law or legal process, as discussed under Item 3 below, to protect and defend our rights or property, to protect the rights and safety of our other users or the public, to determine whether the Stored Files have been exposed to or are susceptible to unauthorized access or computer viruses or the dissemination of computer viruses, or as otherwise permitted by the terms of our agreement with the user.
We may make use of general information about our customers to improve our service or for other marketing purposes. We use the information you provide about yourself when making a reservation only to complete that reservation. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that reservation. We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
You can access all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by viewing your profile in your "My Account" section of the website.
To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
2. Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information
Personally identifiable information that we retain related to our users will be disclosed by us if it is necessary to render, or conduct a legitimate business related to, the services that are provided to you or pursuant to law or legal process, as discussed under Item 3 below.
The types of persons to whom personally identifiable information about you may be disclosed by us in the course of providing services to you include our employees, agents, technology consultants and vendors, sales representatives, accountants, legal advisors, billing and collection services and credit reporting agencies, consumer and market research firms, and authorized representatives of governmental bodies. Upon reasonable request, personally identifiable information may be disclosed by us, on a confidential basis, to our actual or potential investors or merger partners or to actual or potential buyers of us or our business. In the event we go through a business transaction, such as being acquired by another company or selling a portion of our assets, users’ personally identifiable information and Stored Files may be transferred as part of the sale.
We will not disclose the contents of a user’s Stored Files except as we believe necessary to comply with law or legal process, as discussed under Item 3 below, to protect and defend our rights or property, to protect the rights and safety of our other users or the public, to technology consultants, vendors, or personnel in order to provide services to us or to determine whether Stored Files have been exposed to or are susceptible to unauthorized access or computer viruses or the dissemination of computer viruses, or as otherwise permitted by the terms of our agreement with a user. We also routinely back-up Stored Files and may utilize third-party vendors for the storage of these files.
3. Disclosure of Information to Government Entities and Other Legal Process
We will disclose personally identifiable information about users and Stored Files to a governmental entity or other third party as we determine is required by law or legal process. In addition, there are other exceptional circumstances under which, for legal reasons, we may be compelled to disclose information about you or your communications or will disclose such information. For example, information may be disclosed to law enforcement officials if it appears to be evidence of child pornography or any other crime.
4. Time Period That We Retain Personally Identifiable Information
We will retain personally identifiable information about users and Stored Files for as long as SpotScout, Inc. determines is necessary for its business purposes. This time period may vary depending upon factors such as the nature of the information and applicable law. We will make this period as short as is possible for the benefit of SpotScout’s users.
5. Notification of Changes
We will post any changes to this Notice in advance of their effectiveness. You are responsible for periodically checking our website for changes to this Notice.
